Another great trip to the Big Chip (Chippewa Flowage, WI), staying at the Golden Fawn Resort. We had 10 Knights in 2 cabins; Big Timber and Musky Bay. There was enough room for us and a few woodland creatures. King and Lancelot were the first to arrive, dropping gear on the lawn outside Big Timber and launching the Tart. A pleasant 45 minutes on the lake before a big storm came up and we had to put in at the dock. We headed up to Herman's Landing for lunch and Leine's. When the storm hit it was blowing doors open and you couldn't see anything on the lake except boaters seeking some sort of shelter. After about 30 minutes it died down and our lunch was over. We headed back to the cabin, drained the water out of our gear and moved it into the cabin. Once we had some room in the 4Runner we headed into town for supplies. Shortly after we unloaded, those coming from Louisville arrived followed by the "new children" from Texas, Oregon and Cal-E-fornia. | ||||||||||||||||||||
