THE BIG CHEESE CHIPPEWA FLOWAGE, WI JULY 2010

(Prince) The Trip to the Big Chip 2010 was filled with plenty of sun, fish, beer and debauchery. Josephus was the first to arrive in the MSP (Minn-St Paul) area on Friday night with the Prince soon following on a red eye from the great northwest. Landing at 6 a.m. I picked up Josephus at his airport hotel, after a bit of putzing around looking for an open sporting goods store, we were off to the big chip. We arrived about 1 p.m to the lake, and the sun was high in the sky - lake was flat calm and temp was about 82....luxury! We popped in to check in with Berb, and she said the cabin was all ours. Off we went - finding the boxes of gear shipped only the week before waiting for us on the porch. After being unable to secure a rental boat from Berb, we haggled proper with the Chip Campground and secured a very nice rental boat for 1/2 the price. It turned out to be great, and I think in the future we will be renting from there!
